The RCI Resort Recognition Programme highlights resorts that go above and beyond in creating memorable holidays. It looks at everything from guest service and housekeeping to resort maintenance and the overall holiday experience.
There are three main RCI awards: Gold Crown, Silver Crown, and the Hospitality Award, along with the Standard Resort grading for newer resorts still building toward higher recognition.
The Silver Crown Award is given to resorts that consistently deliver outstanding holiday experiences and maintain strong guest satisfaction. It reflects quality service, well-kept facilities, and a commitment to creating stays guests genuinely enjoy.
Guest feedback plays a major role in the process. Through RCI Member Comment Cards, guests rate their stay based on check-in and check-out, hospitality, resort maintenance, unit maintenance, and unit housekeeping. These scores are reviewed over a full year.
RCI also looks beyond reviews by assessing resort amenities, guest services, unit features, and the overall condition and presentation of the property.
